- Nickelodeon - where you can't say "dead" but you can say "crappy"
- Harold has a Mickey Kaline poster in his room
- Every TV station was showing the World Economic Summit; in reality, the more
"specialized" networks, like ESPN and Nickelodeon, wouldn't bother
- Principal Wartz calls Harold by his name, but not Arnold
- Everybody Get Into The Act: the pizza Harold tried to deliver was from Danica's
Pizzas (writer's assistant Danica Ivancevic), the computer he was using was a Purdy Pear (staff writer Joseph Purdy)

Ernie in Love
Ernie has a crush on a fashion model, but he's afraid to ask her out because he's so short
Written by Steve Viksten
Storyboard Direction by Tim Parsons
Animation Direction by Christine Kolosov
Storyboard Artist: Diane Kredensor
Cast:
Arnold - Spencer Klein
Ernie - Dom Irrera
Lola - Jennifer Tilly
- There were only three speaking parts in the entire story
- Ernie dreams of, writes poems about, and has a statue of, someone he's in love
with but refuses to confess to...now where have I seen that before? (On a not particularly unrelated note, it's
been a while since the last Helga-less episode)
- In the scene just before Ernie is shown making the statue, there's a portrait
of someone dressed in something resembling Pilgrim clothing that looks a bit like Arnold's father
- The credits include Dan Castellaneta as Grandpa, but Grandpa wasn't even seen,
much less heard from, in the entire episode
