Full Moon
When Harold, Sid, and Stinky moon Principal Wartz, Arnold refuses to reveal who did it, even under threat of detention
and a mark on his permanent record
Written by Steve Viksten
Storyboard Direction by Mario Piluso
Animation Direction by Frank Weiss
Storyboard Artists: Kurt Dumas, Cesar Martinez
Cast:
Arnold - Spencer Klein
Gerald - Jamil W. Smith
Harold - Justin Shenkarow
Stinky - Christopher Walberg
Sid - Sam Gifaldi
Principal Wartz - David Wohl
- Arnold's permanent record has just "ARNOLD" as his name; assuming they're
not sorted by first name, then this is more evidence that either Arnold is his last name or is the only name he
uses (in "Mugged", the name on his bus pass is also just "Arnold")
- Harold sleeps with his hat on
- If Principal Wartz got that good of a look, why didn't he, say, ask the gym teacher
to, uh, "look around" when the boys were taking their showers? (In a past episode, P.S. 118 had
showers for the students after gym class)
- One of the slides said that mooning "could put your eye out", an excuse
usually given to kids who want BB guns (see the movie A Christmas Story for an example)
- When Harond confesses, the music for his song in "What's Opera, Arnold?"
plays in the background
- Harold's, Sid's, and Stinky's punishment was never mentioned
- Arnold never did reveal the names; why did Principal Wartz not mark him as "uncooperative"?
- David Wohl was also credited as Harold's father, but Mr. Berman did not have
any lines

Student Teacher
Helga is not particularly happy about the new student teacher assisting Mr. Simmons - Olga
Written by Michelle Lamoreaux and Steve Viksten
Storyboard Direction by Chris Hendrick
Animation Direction by Frank Weiss
Storyboard Artist: Chris Robertson
Cast:
Arnold - Spencer Klein
Helga - Francesca Marie Smith
Harold - Justin Shenkarow
Stinky - Christopher Walberg
Olga - Nika
Big Bob Pataki - Maurice LaMarche
Miriam Pataki - Kath E. Soucie
Mr. Simmons - Dan Butler
- Olga arrived on Air Dumas; Kurt Dumas is one of the show's "regular"
storyboard artists
- Didn't Olga already have a Spring Break (in "Olga Comes Home")?
Then again, Helga had two (one in "Quantity Time", another in "The Flood")
(Actually, John Jones points out this is a semester
break, which usually takes place at least a month before Spring Break)
- Stinky's spelling test has words (yellow, dog, fruit, cow, cookie, people) you
would expect to be too easy to be on a fourth grade test, although when I went to school, different spelling
tests were given in the same class based on level
- Speaking of Stinky's test, not only did he miss every word, but he misspelled
"spelling" as well
- Helga says she's been wearing her bow since she was four, but she's wearing one
in her baby picture
- Olga pulls out a detention slip that already had Helga's name on them; was she
that sure that Helga would receive detention that she had Helga's name already on them?
- Musical Chairs: In the scene with the apple, when the class is shown from behind,
Sid and the blonde-haired boy are in the front row with Arnold and Rhonda behind them, but when shown from the
front, Sid, Helga, and Phoebe are in front, with Stinky, Gerald, and Curly right behind them
- Olga's nameplate says "MS. PATAKI", but everyone calls her "Miss
Pataki", and the notice at the school in Alaska says "MISS PATAKI"
- The scene with Olga boarding the plane for Alaska is based on a similar scene
at the end of Casablanca
- More evidence supporting the "west coast" theory: the plane Olga takes
to Alaska is a turboprop, usually used for short flights
- Olga teaches at Polar Cap Elementary School in Umiat, where there are four kids
in the entire school; there really is an Umiat, Alaska, about 350 miles northwest of Fairbanks and 175 miles southeast
of Barrow (probably the northernmost city in Alaska)
- Since when do igloos have windows?
- So that's where her credit from "Phoebe Takes the Fall" went: Anndi
McAfee was credited as Phoebe, but Phoebe did not have any lines
