Monkey Business
When Helga is kissed by a monkey, she thinks she's contracted "monkeynucleosis", which would be fatal
if it wasn't for the fact that there's no such thing
Written by Steve Viksten
Storyboard Direction by Tuck Tucker
Animation Direction by Larry Leichliter
Storyboard Artist: Jay Lender
Cast:
Arnold - Phillip Van Dyke
Helga - Francesca Marie Smith
Phoebe - Anndi McAfee
Brainy, paperboy - Craig Bartlett
Rhonda - Olivia Hack
Stinky - Christopher Walberg
Mr. Simmons, scientist - Dan Butler

- Mr. Simmons' class is getting popular; now there are 16 students in the class,
and all of the fourth-grade "regulars" except Park and Billy are there
- Phoebe's house address number is 931 - and the house is in desparate need
of a new paint job
- Phoebe sleeps on what appears to be a futon (well, she doesn't actually sleep
on it until "Phoebe Cheats")
- Helga dreamed that monkeynucleosis turned her into a monkey, and the pictures
Mr. Simmons showed had someone suffering a similar fate, but nowhere did it specifically say that the disease turned
people into monkeys, just that they "expired"
- Helga gives Nadine what
appears to be a tuba; in the Claymation short "The Arnold Waltz", Helga plays a Sousaphone
- Okay, I haven't read an "Archie" comic in about 20 years, but in my
day, Jughead wasn't interested in girls (Veronica, Betty, Big Ethel, or otherwise)

Big Caesar

Written by Jonathan Rosenthal and Craig Bartlett
Storyboard Direction by Dan Povenmire
Animation Direction by Steve Socki
Storyboard Artist: Sherm Cohen
Cast:
Arnold - Phillip Van Dyke
Gerald - Jamil W. Smith
Helga - Francesca Marie Smith
Harold - Justin Shenkarow
Sid - Sam Gifaldi
Stinky - Christopher Walberg
Grandpa, reporter - Dan Castellaneta
Grandma - Tress MacNeille
- Did somebody say "urban legends"? Check out www.urbanlegends.com and
www.snopes.com
- Helga's right; the dinosaurs all died out long before the Roman Empire began
- No points for guessing where Helga got a boat named "OLGA I" from...
- Layout designer Caesar Martinez was credited as "Big Caesar Martinez" -
and there's a good reason for this, according to Dan
Povenmire; the fish is, in fact, a caricature of Caesar
Martinez (or at least as much of a caricature as you can get
and still have it looking like a fish)
-
Tuck Tucker had nothing to do with this episode? He
played a big part in animating an episode of The Simpsons
where Homer goes after a giant catfish (at least that's what
one of the show's writers says on the Simpsons DVD where it
appears - for those of you who are interested, it's the
second season episode "The War of the Simpsons")
